Obviously, my humble performance of the piece in the video above doesn't even begin to approach the brilliance of the great John Williams. However, I do assert confidently that this classical guitar tutorial will teach you how to play Cavatina exactly as it was played solo by John Williams in terms of the fingering. I know because I worked it out over a period of months using the official tab and I have watched John Williams perform it solo and he does use the exact fingering taught in this lesson. So you do not need the Cavatina tab because I have already done the hard work for you. The lesson is clear and simple and will talk you through how to play the whole tune in detail, step-by-step. You can use this lesson as the basis of a performance that far outshines mine. I may not play like the great John Williams, but I can teach well. Please note that with the THIRD chord position, the thumb should first play the E string (not the A string as I do). This chord is always played like this. Get in touch with me by email if you don't understand this and I will explain it to you via skype.
